Commitment
This site should be usable by everyone, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, rely on magnification, or need reduced motion.
Target standard
The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform. The known gaps are listed below rather than omitted, because an accessibility statement that overstates conformance is itself a problem.
Resolved
Calculated results are announced to assistive technology as they change (SC 4.1.3, Status Messages). The mortgage-insurance toggle announces itself when it changes state automatically at 80 percent loan-to-value. The sliders now present a 24 by 24 CSS pixel target (SC 2.5.8, Target Size). No text is set below 12 pixels, and all text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio in both light and dark themes. A skip link jumps past the navigation to the controls.
Known limitations
The calculator itself requires JavaScript. Without it the explanatory content, formulas and worked examples remain fully readable, but the interactive tool does not run; a notice says so rather than showing a silent zero.
The monthly total is a live region, so rapidly editing a field produces frequent announcements. This is a deliberate trade against the alternative of silent updates, and may be revisited.
The site has not been audited by an independent third party, and no automated checker substitutes for testing with real assistive technology. That is why the status above says partially conformant rather than fully conformant.
Compatibility
The site is built with standard semantic HTML and is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and screen readers. It has not been formally audited by a third party.
